The City of Palm Springs is suing College of the Desert for what it alleges to be a lack of compliance with the California Public Records Act.The law requires public agencies to make public documents available upon request in a timely manner. The city says COD has not done that.Mayor Lisa Middleton announced the suit Monday morning from the steps of City Hall."The City of Palm Springs on behalf of Coachella Valley taxpayers has repeatedly requested COD provide records related to their decision-making, and our attorneys have been met with slow and incomplete response," Middleton said.
