KESQ Update at 3:45 a.m. The CHP was set to reopen one lane on the I-10 about half an hour after full eastbound closure was first announced. Original Post 10/07/23 at 3:30 a.m. The California Highway Patrol reported a full eastbound I-10 closure near Washington Street after a deadly crash involving at least two vehicles. It was reported after 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Desert. Cal Fire said one person died on scene and a second person suffered moderate injuries. The California Highway Patrol was leading the investigation.
