Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Palm Desert A driver struck and killed a pedestrian at Country Club Drive and Barrington Drive in Palm Desert on Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run incident. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Palm Desert Station responded to the report of a hit-and-run around 10:16 a.m. on Wednesday, and found the victim in the roadway in the eastbound lanes of Country Club Drive. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and their identity has not yet been released.
