(Shutterstock) PALM DESERT, CA — The University of California, Riverside will be hosting its only Coachella Valley open house during a special event next month at the UCR Palm Desert Center, 75080 Frank Sinatra Drive . The free event takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14. All local high school students, parents, teachers, counselors and others are invited. During the open house, visitors can meet with UCR's schools and colleges; learn about UC'sadmission requirements, application process, and financial aid options; connect with studentsuccess resources and campus organizations; and explore credentials, certificates, and custom training programs.
